Hello. I am original buyer of this LGB locomotive: 2096 S electronic with sound. Loco has never been used and it’s still in original packing. No scratches, no dings, no paint problems. There is just one problem : since buying this about 2007, we have stored this in air conditioned homes for past 15 years about; three of the windows on the loco have fallen inside the loco, and need to be gently replaced and perhaps glued to where they were originally. We think this happened because after 15 years, the glue just gave way and the windows fell into the main loco area. This is the only issue we see with this; this has to be one of the last locos produced by LGB before being acquired by Marlin–with Marlin going out of business in year 2009. Look carefully at photos; there is a “bumper” small piece of plastic in color black with white circumference. One end has the post to hold the bumper but is missing the small piece of plastic that is the “bumper”. We just can’t find this piece so you’d have to source one from their Loco or just pretend that it’s there. It’s not from use because this Loco was used between 5 and 7 minutes in total and then reboxed. Stored in smoke free, Air Conditioned home. We tell you about the windows that need to be regaled into place–just fell off sometime in past 15 years of storage–and the one missing bumper so that you know exactly what you’ll get with this Loco. OK, that’s the whole story here. It’s a great looking loco and ready for new owner. Collectible in this condition.
