If you are unsure about any of the steps below or are not confident installing yourself, please get in touch with a professional. First, ensure the engine is cool to the touch to avoid the risk of burns. Loosen the alternator tensioner bolt to allow the alternator belt to move. Remove the top alternator bolt and replace it with the titanium version, making sure to install them hand-tight only. Do this for all 3 bolts. Torque all 3 bolts to 17 ft/lb and put the alternator belt back on if you removed it. Tension the belt to the correct specification and tighten the tensioner bolt back to the 41 ft/lb factory setting. Run the engine to ensure you aren’t getting excessive movement from the belt, alternator or tensioner, and you are all done!
