Contax copy KIEV 3A Arsenal 35mm RF camera w/ Jupiter-8 2/50 MC lens EXCELLENT Kiev 3A, 35mm, with built-in light-meter camera – Kiev, s/n 5721993 lens – Jupiter-8, 1:2, F=50mm, s/n 5743561 Camera is in EXCELLENT working and cosmetic condition. This is a rangefinder camera previously called “Contax”. In the brochure of 1960 we can read: “The apparatus…is mainly intended for newspaper photographer’s work and skilled amateur photographers”. It has the metallic shutter of “jalousie” type, movement of shutters is top-down along the short side of a shot. Exposures are V, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 125, 250, 500, 1250. The shutter is equipped with the automatic releaser with speed 9-15 sec. The camera is completed with the standard lens “Jupiter 8”. Both simplex and double-cylinder cassettes can be used. Works properly. Lens is clean, no scratches. The light meter is in working condition, but I cannot guarantee its accuracy due to its age. Focusing and stopping are smooth. Viewfinder is clean. Comes with case, lens cap, take-up spool. Made by Arsenal factory in Kiev, Ukraine. This is collectible camera. This camera body is Contax copy.
