Has a 5.5 Ohm Rheostat to dim your dash lights. It mounts in a 3/8″ diameter hole. This switch can be used for just about any vehicle that you are unable to find a factory replacement headlight switch for. Perfect for a hot rod, rat rod or custom. The shaft is not removable from this switch. The knob IS removable with a GOOD quality 1/16″ Allen wrench (Harbor Freight quality won’t work). Switch is marked 12 volt but will work equally well on a 6 volt vehicle. Your original headlight knob must have 8-32 internal threads (or be modified) to work with this switch.
