Band Width: 19 mm A perfect vintage timepiece. A classic Elgin from the late 1930s, paired with a great vintage band. The watch shows a classic art deco metropolitan look, with clean straight lines and a minimum of ornamentation. The Star on the dial harks back to the days when Elgin marketed their watches as “Timed to the Stars.” The watch is in Excellent condition. The Wadsworth case is signed Elgin and is 14K gold filled, both back and bezel. The dial and hands are original and in very good condition. The case has corner perforations on the back, see pix.” This watch is paired with a leather band. The band is like new and serves as a perfect compliment to the styling of the bezel. The movement is one of Elgin’s early 17 jewel “X” movements. The watch is running and keeping good time. We don’t know the service history of this watch and it has not been serviced while in our possession. While the watch is currently keeping good time, we encourage you to have it serviced to get the longest enjoyment from the piece. A great example from Elgin. This would make a fabulous gift for a special occasion or grace any collection. Comes with a standard watch box. Estate find, still works and keeps time.
