You can install it yourself or just get a handyman to help. It does not require the use of expensive floor Basement Flooring contractors. The basement floor tiles are designed to interlock using a loop-to-peg system and can be installed without the messy chemicals, glues, grouting or nails. Shipping: Your basement floor tiles typically ship within 24 to 48 hrs and typically deliver within 3-7 business days. Make sure you mention the item # and product description. Maintenance: There is no floor preparation other than to sweep the area clean. Tools are not needed for installation. You simply interlock them together with your hands. Clean regularly for the best appearance. Routine cleaning will enhance the life of the flooring. Installation: There is no surface preparation required to install the flooring in your basement other than to sweep the floor clean. The tiles install without using any tools or adhesives. Just interlock the tiles together by hand. An average sized basement takes about 3 or 4 hours to put together. Please review our short video at youtube to see how we interlock the floor tiles together. TIP: Although not required, you may wish to use a small plastic mallet and knee pads to further ease the installation process Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material. Install from left to right. Once you have reached the ending point of a row you continue onto next row from left to right and so forth. Loops should face upward. When you need to trim, make sure you leave about a 1/2″ gap between the tiles and the wall. Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.
